To foster interconnection between universities and enterprises, promote the integration of industry and education, and innovate talent training models, a delegation led by Tang Yi, Executive Dean of the Smart Transportation Modern Industry College, visited Chongqing University and several outstanding enterprises for research and exchange from March 15 to 17.
The delegation included Feng Pengfei, Dean of the School of Traffic Engineering; Wu Mingming, Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering; Xue Feng, Dean of the School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering; Zhang Jishan, Dean of the School of Computer Engineering; as well as Yang Xiaodong, Deputy General Manager of Sanlian Traffic; Gu Tao, Director of the Strategic Development Department; and Zhang Dong, Project Manager of the Development Department.
On the afternoon of March 15, the delegation visited Chongqing Xiangtai Electric Co., Ltd., where General Manager Shi Daijun and Assistant Chairman Zhang Fan provided an in-depth introduction to the company’s profile, honors, and new energy technologies. Following this, Gu Tao introduced the Smart Transportation Modern Industry College and provided an overview of Sanlian Traffic. Assistant Chairman Zhang Fan remarked that Sanlian Traffic, as a leader in the driver examination industry with years of experience, aligns well with the college’s focus on talent cultivation, creating a strong foundation for collaboration. The three parties can engage in industry-university-research cooperation to achieve resource sharing and complementary advantages, jointly exploring markets and creating economic and social benefits.
On the morning of March 16, the delegation visited the College of Computer Science at Chongqing University, where Party Secretary Yang Shouhong warmly welcomed them. During the meeting, Vice Dean Zhong Jiang and Engineering Department Secretary Zheng Linjiang introduced the development history, professional programs, and team profiles of the computer science department. Both parties discussed talent cultivation and research collaboration, engaging in in-depth exchanges on industry-education integration, curriculum reform, and the establishment of industry colleges.
The delegation then visited the CPS Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education at Chongqing University. Dean Tang Yi pointed out that while the Computer Science Department emphasizes developing cutting-edge technology, the Smart Transportation Modern Industry College focuses on cultivating talents for those applications, thus providing opportunities for cooperation in research, public relations, and development.
On the morning of March 17, the delegation visited Chongqing Youliang Science&Technology Co., Ltd., where they toured the company’s exhibition hall and employee work areas with General Manager Dai Gao, who provided detailed insights into the company’s R&D and operations. Chongqing Youliang Science&Technology Co., Ltd. specializes in urban intelligent transportation and ranks among the top tier in domestic technology.
This exchange deepened communication and established a robust mechanism for dialogue between enterprises and educational institutions through on-site inspections, field research, and discussions. In the future, Sanlian Traffic will leverage its strengths to focus on industry research, collaborative projects, and talent development, actively enhancing the depth of industry-university-research cooperation to achieve complementary advantages and win-win collaboration with other enterprises and educational institutions.
