Recently, Sanlian Traffic’s independently developed automatic measurement device for vehicle dimensions successfully passed the certification test conducted by the Traffic Safety Product Quality Supervision and Testing Center of the Ministry of Public Security. The device will be showcased at the 13th China Road Traffic Safety Security Product Expo & Traffic Police Equipment Exhibition, scheduled to be held from April 19 to 21, 2023, at the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center in Hunan Province.

The automatic measurement system for vehicle dimensions moving at a slow and uniform speed (3-5 km/h) during inspections. By employing advanced deep learning models, deep point cloud reconstruction and segmentation algorithms, and point cloud component detection technology, the system utilizes high-precision laser radar and industrial cameras for 2D and 3D fusion dynamic modeling. This allows for high-precision measurements of vehicle outlines, axle bodies, cargo compartments, and other components. The system further advances the automation and standardization of vehicle dimension inspections, significantly reducing human factors that can affect measurement accuracy and providing reliable data for vehicle assessments.
