“Looking back at Chang’an, the city is adorned like a tapestry, with countless doors opening on the mountaintop.” Xi’an, a city rich in historical and cultural heritage, carries the weight of five thousand years of Chinese civilization. Within the ancient city, echoes of antiquity resonate, and the legacies of the Qin and Han dynasties continue to thrive. Beneath the ancient city walls, a millennium of tumultuous history testifies to the rise and glory of countless heroes. Under the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, the interplay of Buddhist culture and ancient architectural art evokes deep reverence, with the tranquility and solidity of the thousand-year-old pagoda inspiring awe. Today, as the “Belt and Road” initiative advances and artificial intelligence gains widespread application, visitors to this ancient land experience a harmonious coexistence of modern technology and historical culture, where poetic beauty and technological grandeur complement each other.
On December 15, the “Modernization of Traffic Safety Governance and High-Quality Development Forum” was successfully concluded in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province. This event was organized by the Road Traffic Safety Research Center of the Ministry of Public Security and the China Road Traffic Safety Association, with the Shaanxi Provincial Public Security Department’s Traffic Police Corps, the Shaanxi Provincial Road Traffic Safety Association, and the Xi’an Public Security Bureau serving as hosts, while supported by Sanlian Traffic. On the day of the forum, over 200 participants from public security traffic management departments in 16 provinces and cities, including Inner Mongolia, Anhui, Hubei, Hunan, uan Gansu, and Shaanxi, toured the Xi’an Qinhan New Town Examination Center and the Xi’an Pengxiang Driving School’s Traffic History and Safety Warning Education Base, experiencing firsthand the changes brought about by intelligent traffic management for the citizens of Xi’an. The driver examination business analysis and judgment system jointly developed by Sanlian Traffic and the Xi’an Traffic Police Brigade was comprehensively and thoroughly showcased during the conference.
Tailored to the traffic management needs of Xi’an, the system employs AI video analysis technology and big data analysis algorithms to facilitate intelligent analysis and judgment of examination business data and videos. It enables preemptive alerts for suspicious individuals in the business hall, crowding in waiting areas, and unauthorized personnel entering examination venues for subjects one and two, as well as provides voice and gesture prompts from safety officers during subject three examinations. This proactive approach transforms “passive” into "active prevention and control, thereby narrowing the regulatory scope, enhancing precision, conserving police resources, and advancing the technological level of management, ultimately achieving routine, refined, and intelligent supervision.
Additionally, Sanlian Traffic presented a solution addressing the challenges of managing safety officers during subject three practical road examinations—the Intelligent Emergency Braking Safety Assistance System. This system consists of front-end sensing devices and a back-end processing center. The front-end devices capture real-time road conditions and images ahead of the vehicle, relaying this information to the back-end center. Using artificial intelligence and deep learning algorithms, the system executes pre-set safety assistance braking protocols to enable emergency braking in hazardous situations, generating alert data sent to the management backend to ensure safety, fairness, and impartiality in practical road examinations. This system garnered strong interest from attending leaders and received high praise.
During the afternoon forum, Jin Lai, CTO of Anhui Sanlian Group and Deputy General Manager of Anhui Sanlian Applied Traffic Technology Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a keynote speech titled “Focusing on Source Governance, Creating Intelligent and Digital Driving Examinations.” He discussed changes in the environment, current management conditions, and policy trends, providing a comprehensive overview of Sanlian Traffic’s focus on traffic safety governance at the source, leveraging modern technological means to develop intelligent and digital driving examinations. He highlighted solutions in areas such as data analysis and judgment in vehicle and driver management, the implementation of intelligent emergency braking safety assistance to eliminate the need for safety officers, and domestically produced theoretical examinations without a physical examination platform for subject one.
Digital intelligence is transforming lives. In today’s era of flourishing artificial intelligence, we are changing our lifestyles through technology. Sanlian Traffic upholds this philosophy, continually innovating and deeply cultivating its core business areas. The company remains closely aligned with customer needs, engaging in in-depth cooperation to jointly inject robust digital intelligence into the development of road traffic safety.
